STUNNING / RARE MATTHEW BOULTON LATE 1700s / EARLY 1800s HUGE SILVERPLATE TUREEN One of the finest tureens you will ever see. Another tureen, virtually excatly the same appeared in a Sotheby’s New York sale in September of 2011 with an estimate of $5000 - $7000 USA dollars.This tureen is very similar ! It features thefamiliar star bust style Matthew Boulton hallmarks in 2 areas. Under the lid and also on the underside of the rim. The tureen is incredibly heavy set & large, it weighs over 4 kilo’s & measures 37cms wide x 23cms x 27cms high. It features a very decorative handle and stands on four large lion paw feet. It’s in superb condition for its age, very minor plate loss to the handles. NOTE: Free postage within Australia which includesregistered, tracking & insurance.
