A magnificent, and now scarce vintage 20th Century, Fukagawa fine Japanese art porcelain circular plate, expertly hand-painted depicting a Kingfisher bird in flight and Irises in bright cheerful colors (better than my photos show), gilt rim band, 10-1/4 ins. (26 cm) diameter; artist \"chop mark\" signature in the artwork and Fukagawa underglaze blue marks on the underside. Shipping weight 3 pounds.An exquisite fine art piece, now scarce and hard to find.CONDITION -- EXCELLENT -- Clean and fine. NO chips, cracks. crazing, hairlines, stains, or restoration. Examined under magnification and ultra-violet (\"black light\").
