This beautiful antique sterling silver spoon for Niagara Falls shows the legend of the white canoe in which an Indian maiden sends her canoe over the falls in order to avoid marrying a man she does not love. She\'s also known as the \"Maid of the Mist\". The spoon is highly detailed with waves crashing around the canoe on both the front and reverse side of the piece. The bowl of the spoon shows the mighty falls. The reverse side of the spoon is marked sterling but a maker\'s mark is not visible. There is a fancy script hand engraved monogram on the reverse side of the bowl that reads \"RSS Nov. 4, 09\". The spoon is in excellent condition without dents, dings, scratches or damage. It measures 5 1/2 inches long and weighs .84 troy ounces.
