Bill Rabbit: Bill Rabbit was born in Wyoming of Cherokee ancestry. He listened to the wind, Old legends & stories. Watched colors changing in the skies & noticed the form of things around him. He completed his first drawing as a kindergartner and still has the certificate of completion his teacher gave him. \"He does not necessarily get along with the other students, but he might have some aritistic ability\", she wrote. With the war raging in Vietnam, Rabbit voluntarily joined the Army after high school. He served 18 months in the 25th Infantry Division alongside film maker Oliver Stone, who earned an Academy Award for his film, \"Platoon\" about the tour of duty they shared. He now lives within the Cherokee Nation in N.E. Oklahoma. Veitnam taught him that life\'s moments are precious. So....He is especially pleased to be working at what he loves. He is self-taught in jewelry making and acrylic painting. \"I am influenced by all artists\", he says. He tries to capture something of their spirit through experimentation, out of admiration for their skies, colors & forms. He does little preliminary sketching, allowing color to shape his forms in his paintings. \"Life has been kind to me, I\'m thankful I\'ve had the opportunity to see the things I\'ve seen and do the things I\'ve done. But if I died tomorrow, I would feel so blessed and I hope God puts me in charge of painting rainbows.\"
