Very vibrant, colorful bezel set opal mosaics in these earrings! I see purple, pink, orange, and yellow fire (in addition to blues and greens)!
***Please note there is the tiniest nick on only one spot/edge (tile) on oneearring. It can be seen in the first picture, left earring, lower right corner. It can be seen insome of the pictures. It is on a larger more white opal tile. Very minor for vintage earrings. I only noticed by running my finger all around the earrings. Please use the zoom feature and look at all 10 pictures to judge their condition for yourself.***
These are (yellow gold)vintage designer earrings made by Peter Brams Designs, LTD, New York.
The fire in these mosaic opals is just gorgeous in any lighting with different shades of red, blue, and green throughout. These opals are exactly what I would expect in a high grade Australian mosaic opal. ***They are doublets (not triplets) meaning there is no quartz cap, which is what I prefer and is generally only in higher qualityopal mosaic. ***The earrings measure a bold 1 1/4\"x 3/4\" (widest points)and have butterfly backs (posts for pierced ears). (5.4g)
***Note that the posts are in the center of the earring, so they will sit higher up on the ear and will not dangle from one of the points. (A very \'80\'s design style.) The center of the earring will be on your lobe, therefore the earring will hug the ear more, verses hanging from one of the points. Make sure this is a style you will like, I think it is very elegant.***
In excellent vintage condition and hallmarked: PBD, 14k. (Each butterfly back is hallmarked 14k, as well.)
