I bought these in 1970, and got my prescription lenses tinted in a rose color. I wore them for a year or two. I know, I know: What was I thinking? I think my mother asked that at the time.
Octagonal. Rose-colored. Gold rims. Holy cow.
The bridge is marked as being 1/20 12K gold filled. The brand is marked as Huason (hard to read, and I could be wrong)
You can see that the end of both bows are missing part of the plastic covers that make it comfortable to wear.
Imagine how cool I thought I was with these glasses, long hair, and a really long, fringed suede vest.
My prescription is quite strong, so the edges of the eyeglasses are thick. The effect of the thick edges took some getting used to. I recall walking out of the eyeglass place and not being sure if the sidewalk was coming up at me, and where my foot was going.
