Barbie\'s \"Candy Striper Volunteer\" (#889) was onlyavailable in 1964. This near complete (only missing the fork and straw) listing includes the following 15 items, several of them hard to find:
• sleeveless red and white striped pinafore. Closes with a wellattached snap in the back.
• short sleeve white blouse with cuffed sleeves. Closes with awell attached snap. Black and white Barbie® tag, as well as the paper inspection tag, isattached.
• HTF white nurse\'s cap with no stripe as was the original. Headbandis intact and adjustable.
• pair of soft tennis shoes that are slightly off-white with age.Both are appropriately marked \"Japan.\"
• red rubber hot waterbottle
• square white terry washcloth - one corner is beginning to fray
• box of Kleenex tissues
• small bar of pink soap with the word \"SOAP\" on one side
• HTF white plastic oval tray with no cracks, chips or melts
• small metal fork
• small metal knife
• blue plastic plate with raised flower design. No cracks or melts.
• HTF wax slice of watermelon. Some of the color has worn off.
• plastic glass of orange juice with cotton froth. Two tiny melts and several tiny cracks at the rim.
A red hanger is included. Excellent to near mint condition. Some items looknew. No holes, tears, stains, markings or repairs. Absolutely clean andclothing is unwrinkled. No unpleasant odors. A wonderful, popular set!
