Up for sale is a wonderful large fashion pin of a turn of the century 1900 Circus Wagon with ruby, emerald, sapphire, and amber rhinestone jewels, with incredible detail to the antique styling of the wagon (see photo). Behind the polished bars is a wonderful full figure Lion, with teeth bared and in a matt gold color finish that makes his tawny coat gleam! This matt finish is also used on the scrollwork at the corners of the wagon and on the spoke wheels. It is one of the most unusual vintage pieces I have seen. The workmanship of this pin is superb and the design is very original. The brooch is marked only with CWE on the high polish gold tone back, under the lions feet. I am told that CWE is the logo for Charles Winston’s high end line of fashion jewelry, which explains the quality of this beautiful piece. As stated, this brooch is large and measures approximately 2 ¼” wide and almost 1 ¾” tall; and it is in excellent near-new gently worn condition. This is truly an investment you can enjoy for years.

Please keep in mind this is not a new item. I try to describe items as accurately as possible, but cannot always detail each flaw. Crazing and manufacturing flaws such as pin heads, color variations, straw marks, bubbles, inclusions, and other manufacturing anomalies are considered normal for glass, china, and pottery of age. Most vintage items are as they came from an estate, so may have water stains in vases of age, scuff to wood, etc. For that reason, all items are photographed and described with honest intent.
