This is a original World War TwoUS Army and USMC soldiers pick axe cover assembly . Most soldiers carried the shovel but some carried thesmall pick. This canvas cover was designed to carry the pick head and the wooden handle. It is dated 1945. The pick could be carried on your belt or on your backpack. This cover is in new unissued condition.
