Very unique \'bold look\' tie from the late-1940s/early-1950s. A true find!
Very good vintage condition; some small areas of abrasion and several pinholes (see detailed photos). Fabric assuredly rayon. Sold through George H. Bailes, Anderson, South Carolina. The Bailes Building in downtown Anderson was believed to have dated back to the 1880s. In its heyday, it housed a department store run by George Hamilton Bailes, Sr (1872-1953), a South Carolina native and merchant. The building was demolished on January 18, 2016.
