Susanis primarily a self taught artist with a background in design and visualmerchandising. A native Californian whoventured to Europe in her twenties and stayed in Berlin to live and travel thenrelocated to Taos, New Mexico where she has continued to live and paint for thepast twenty years. Many years ago, a local store owner gave Susan a pieceof furniture and said, \"please paint whatever you like.\" The resultgrew to become a line of custom furniture.
Today,her hand-painted furniture and art is sold in California, New Mexico and collected by customers all over theCountry. Susan\'s hand-painted furniture has been featured in numerouspublications, including The Albuquerque Journal, New Mexico Magazine, CountryMagazine and Taos Magazine.
\"I follow in the footsteps of manyfine folk artists. Through my work,I pay homage to them, both fortheir inspiration, and for helping me keep hand-painted folk art alive.\"

Inaddition to hand-painted furniture and art works done in a variety of mediums,Susan has designed and painted custom kitchens, bathrooms and designed interiormurals. She is also recycles andbreathes a new life into a variety of item… old kitchen cupboard doors, cuttingboards and any items that catch her eye and need a new life. Susan new ventureis a line of greeting cards created from her painted images.
