This fabulous pair of earrings has so many things going for it. First off these are solid opals which are much more desirable and valuable than the doublets and triplets that most opal jewelry on the market today is made of. They also have fully faceted surfaces (like a diamond) rather than cabochon cut which is quite rare for opals and gives them a very unique look compared to their more common cabochon cut counterparts. There is also significantly more labour put into a fully faceted opal compared to a cabochon cut. The settings are made of solid sterling silver. The opals in there earrings measure 7x5mm in diameter and have a combined weight of 0.72 carats. The below photos have been enlarged to show detail.
