It was made by “Omega Factory” in 1929. The watches under the trade mark \'OMEGA’ always differed by style,accuracy and fidelity to the best traditions of watch affair.
This admirable timepiecefeatures an unusual fantastic-beautifuldial. The former dial has been strongly spoilt; therefore it has beenprofessionally changed to new one. Thenew face features 60 minute checkered outer with red-black numbering, black-redArabic numerals, original blue steel hands and a sub-second’s dial at the nineo’clock position. The beautiful dialis signed ‘OMEGA’ with trademark Omega symbol above this.
This astonishing model oftimepiece has a four-piece, doublehinged case made especially forqualitative antique watch to protect the mechanism from dust and debris andto provide an extra layer of protection from shock or moisture. The existenceof an inner dust cover lid is a good sign of a quality watch. The inside ofback lid has the old trademark Omegasymbol with the inscription ‘OMEGA –SWISS MADE – FABRICATION SUISSE’and case reference number #7.881.510.
Theinscriptions: ‘Swiss made’, ‘Fabrication Suisse’ testify that thiswatch has been assembled on 100% exclusively in Switzerland.
The winding crown is in very good shape and operates properly.
This mechanical timepiece hasthe original branded movement. On the mechanism there are inscriptions: ‘OMEGA WATCH CO’, ‘SWISS’, ‘ADJUSTED TWO 2POSITIONS’ and ‘FIFTEEN 15 JEWELS’. The signed original movement withgenuine jewels has serial number #7.120.536. The serial number on themovement places the date of production of this piece at 1929. The qualitativemechanism is in an excellent status which was very well saved, consideringage of this watch.
This watch was remade for use as a wristwatch. Thiswas quite common, as it became “fashionably” for men to wear wristwatches.

HISTORY: The History of aSuccessful Company Omega was founded by Louis Brandt at La Chaux – de – Fonds, Switzerlandin 1848 as an assembly workshop. In 1879, after his death, his two sons LouisPaul and César started the in-house manufacturing so they started having totalproduction control. One year later, Omega moved into a small factory thatbecame a huge one when 12 months later they bought the entire building. In1903, they both died leaving the company in 24 years old, Paul Emile Brandt’shands. Because of the crisis that the Second World War left, he had to workreally hard in order to face the economic difficulties. He merged Omega withTissot calling the new company SSIH. The SSIH group continued to grow andmultiply under his leadership and, by the seventies, it had become Switzerland’snumber one producer of finished watches and number three in the world.
