DescriptionThis is a beautiful piece of early to mid 19th century Berlin woolwork, French I think, worked in wool on linen canvas, part of a wide border panel with wonderfully evocative \'bizarre\' indienne florals. It was once part of a long 4 poster bed pelmet by the look of it.
The condition is good, just some minor wear with some very slight fading, see photos, it must have been stored away carefully for years, I don\'t think it was ever used.
It measures about 41.5\" by 10\" or 106 cms by 25.5 cms. A lovely piece to frame or for a cushion/pillow fronts, ref or a collection. Thank you for looking.
