A very Fine 1 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Jug made and stamped \"NEW YORK STONEWARE CO\".
IT HAS A WONDERFUL LARGE OVER-SIZED AND DEEP BLUE FLORAL DESIGN.
The New York Stoneware Co. Pottery was operated in Fort Edward, NY between 1859-1885.
Very nice color with nearly no staining at all.
11 1/2\" tall and 7\" across.
Typical wear and imperfections with age. There is a 1\" tight line on the right side of the base and a 3/4\" tight line on the left side of the base. A minor firing imperfection on the top rim and another firing \"pop\" on the right side near the handle, (it does not go through).
