Offered here \"as-is\" are parts for a live steam 1 1/2\" scale Little Engines Atlantic 4-4-2 steam locomotive. You are getting what is shown in the photo\'s. The 4 drive wheels with axles and inside brass bearing blocks, 2 rear trailing wheels with axle and bearing blocks, and the lead truck with 4 wheels and bearings. These are for i guess 7 1/4\" - 1/2\" gauge track? These parts alone if you were to buy the rough castings and have the machine work done by Little Engines wich i looked up in their catalog they would cost you around $900, you are also getting the full set of 33 blueprints for this Atlantic 4-4-2 from Little Engines. I have the original reciept from a previous owner of these parts who bought the blueprints from Little Engines July 5th 1989 and he paid $151.96 just for the blueprints. Also i\'m throwing in some xtra parts, they may or may not work with this locomotive? You get a boiler front, and a set of Baker valve gear. I bought all this stuff thinking i could maybe build a model steam locomotive for display someday. I have way to many projects and will never get to this so i\'m hoping some live steam builder can make good use of these parts at a reduced price than if they would buy them direct from Little Engines. I don\'t know much about this stuff other than what i have read from the Little Engines parts and price list. When i bought the stuff 1 of the blueprints was missing so i bought a replacement new print in 2011 to replace it from Little Engines along with a catalog. You are buying these parts \"as-is\" these are local pickup only but if you happen to live near Ohio i will be willing to drive and deliver at no charge and meet the buyer with the parts as far south as Columbus , and as far west as Toledo , or as far East as Youngstown. I have had a few questions sent since regarding these 1 1/2 scale train parts. The track the wheels are sitting on is just a wooden display track i made up to set them on. I went thru all the blueprints and the 2011 LE catalog lists the price of the blueprints for $315 quite a jump from the 1989 price if $151! Anyhow the blueprints all have 1 1/2 scale on them and the majority of them have 7 1/2\" gauge on them, a few have \"altered for 7 1/4\" gauge. There are 2 sets of prints of each gauge for the drive wheels and axles. Not sure why? but i also did some measuring , the lead truck axle and wheels and the rear axle wheels measure at 7 1/4\" gauge, the drive wheels and axles are more like 7 9/16\" i\'m a bit confused? looking at the drivewheels and the axles the wheels are mounted on, the axles have key way slots so i do not know if it is just a matter of sliding the wheels in more on the axles or if the axles would need some alteration to get them to the 7 1/4\" gauge, i\'m not going to mess with them. I didn\'t know there was both a 7 1/4\" and 1/2\" gauge and am not sure why there are 2 such close gauge sizes. And again the Baker valve gear and boiler front are xtras i picked up later, i have know idea if they will work with this engine? I also do not have any blueprint for the xtra Baker valve gear. Also if this would help any midwest buyers, i will be in Dubuque, Iowa around late morning, early afternoon on Oct. 9th , i could bring the parts along with me on my trip if you live out that way.
