1/6th plate Daguerreotype of Young Drummer Boy Union Soldier & SisterFor your consideration is a Daguerreotype of a young brother and sister. The boy is wearing a Union soldier uniform, possibly a drummer boy. The girl appears to have two rosary bead bracelets on. Picture comes with brass matte & gold foil frame inside a half case. There is an ID on the case of a William Riley George 1829 - 1893. But the date doesn\'t seem feasible to match this young man as he would have to have been in his 30\'s during the civil war.I suppose it\'s possible he was in the Spanish-American war but my guess is that someone put this picture into a case that originally contained another image.
