I need to clear somespace on my shelves, so I need to part with some of my collection. Star Warskits have been around for a long time, but the quality has been ramped up recentlyand more players have come to the market. Fine Molds has the reputation forproducing some of the best Star Wars kits in multiple scales, like theirMillennium Falcon and variety of fighters (X-Wing, Y-Wing and TIE). They putout the 1/72 scale version of the Slave 1 ships (both Boba Fett and Jango FettCustomized Versions) back in 2004 and years later, they released the smaller1/144 versions with amazing detail and fit. (FYI: I may actually have a few ofthese Slave 1 kits listed) In any event, here is what I have found about this outstandingNaboo Starfighter kit:

Scalemates.com has a listing that shows this was released in 2012 as a newtool. Other than a picture of the box art, there is very little else presented.Fortunately, YouTube will fill in the gaps here.

There is a lengthy YouTube video that takesyou through an entire build of this kit, getting it ready for a competition,adding LEDs and other extras. He is very impressed with the quality of the kit.The video certainly gives you a comprehensive view of the kit, but may go intofar more detail than you need in order to decide whether you want it.

There is a muchshorter and un-narrated YouTube video thatmostly highlights shots of a nicely finished kit (with soothing music). HobbyLinkJapan also did an In Box Review video in their Build Series that showseverything in the box (parts, decals, instructions, etc.), so you know exactlywhat you are getting here. On top of that, HobbyLink Japan also put together areview in their Boss Builds Series that looksat an assembled kit directly from Fine Molds, since the video was shot just asthe kit was being released.

This highly detailedkit is in a nicely decorated box about 13” x 7.5” x 2”. As you can see from thepictures, the package is pristine and is still in the original shrink wrap, soit is factory sealed andabsolutely gift-ready.

This item is a complete injectionmolded plastic model kit containing 39 well-fitting parts and a decal sheet to createa Naboo N-1 Starfighter from Episode 1 of Star Wars. Those familiar with my listings can tellthat I really enjoy these products and the modeling hobby. I like to providemore than just the bare facts about the items, trying to lead you intodiscovering more about the subjects and optimizing your builds (if that is yourgoal). I started out picking up models that I was interested in, with the eyetoward building them when I had time. Always a bargain-hunter, I accumulatedmany more than I can build, so I found myself in a Collector status (soundsnicer than a hoarder).

As I am sure you have noticed, my items are almostalways sealed and in mint condition (I call them Gift-Ready), since I only openthem when I am ready to build them. Now I enjoy making these products availableto my fellow modelers; both Builders and Collectors. For the Builders, thereare probably better (at least cheaper) ways to add to your project lists thanbuying from me, but you know you are getting top quality. For Collectors, mygoal is to save you a few bucks over the competition for the same item infactory sealed and collectible (or resellable) condition.
