Offered for saleis the beautiful, not often seen, Mahogany Art Nouveau side chair on Porcelain castors. Somewhat robust size and very comfortable. The central back splat has decoration in the form of plants growing out of bulbs at the base of the splat, sinuous stems rising to the top of the chair rail, and then flowing out on the top rail in bulbous flowers. Both the chair backstiles and the front legs are twisted and the legs end in flared out feet. The front seat rail and the knees of the legs have carved decorations on them. All raised on front leg porcelain casters. 33 1/2\" t, 20 1/2\" w at front, 19 1/2\" d, 19\" tall floor to seat. Here is a chair you do not see often, and with a little restoration of the webbing under the seat, this will be a spectacular addition to your collection.
