Great find at what may be a bargain price.
Our company manufactures wood model kits of historic ship models. We found a cache of nylon thread that was previously used in many of our model kits to replicate the running rigging of old sailing ships. Sadly, a few years ago we changed the color schemes of the rigging rope and can no longer use this color ... although the quality surpasses our standards.
We currently have 5 spools, each of which contains 16 oz. of thread. The diameter is0.4 mm (.016 inch)The size of the spool is 5\" tall and 4\" in diameter.The label inside the spool says \" total length is 5000 yds\"
