The metalI believe is gold leaf tole metal with original gilt surface finish with beautiful very detailed work on this metal sculpture ; Absolutely Gorgeous when lit! There are 2 lights on this sconce. marked Italy. I believe it would datefrom 1940-1950 or earlier.
