YOU ARE BUYING 10 DCC SOUND SPEAKER ENCLOSURES MADE OF CAST RESIN PLASTIC AND MANUFACTURED BY GLX SCALE MODELS INC. I AM OFFERING 2 MODELS IN THIS LOT- 5 OF EACH: REGULAR AND SHALLOW. I HAVE MADE THEM FOR A WHILE FOR MY FRIEND WHO INSTALLS HUNDREDS OF DCC DECODERS IN HO SCALE LOCOMOTIVES DURING A TYPICAL YEAR AFTERHE RECOMMENDED I LOOK AT PRODUCING THEM IN CAST RESIN AND AT A LOWER COST THEN THE BLACK ONES ON THE MARKET.

BOTH MODELS WILL FIT A SOUNDTRAXX # 810113 DCC OVAL SPEAKER (16 X 35MM OR 1.38 X 0.63 INCHES) OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF SPEAKER OF A SIMILAR SIZE AND TYPE.

REGULAR TYPE MODEL MEASURES: 17 X 36 X 12.5 MM OR 1.42 X .67 X .5 INCHES.

SHALLOW TYPE MODEL MEASURES: 17 X 36 X 10.8 MM OR 1.42 X .67 X .42 INCHES. THE SHALLOW MODEL IS FAVORED FOR INSTALLATIONS WITH LESS ROOM IN THE LOCOMOTIVE BODY.

I MAKE BOTH MODELS WITH WHITE RESIN CASTING AND THEN PAINT THE EXTERIOR FLAT BLACK. THIS MAKES THE ENCLOSURE LESS VISIBLE IN THE LOCOMOTIVE BODY.

Don’t worry aboutwashing the cast resin parts in a special solution. My models do notrequire any resin prep type of washing prior to painting. Just wash with warm soapy waterto remove any finger oils.
