From an estate, a group of 10Civil War era2 cent pieces found behind a drawer in an old desk (old Bob Ray ofCavlier Antiques in Alexandria found them in a can, theyrattled when it was moved) a dealer/trader lot perhaps - see condition above. Two cent pieces were the first U.S. coins with the motto \"in God we trust\", the short series started during the Civil War in 1864 and lasted until 1873. Free fully insured shipping to the USA (I ship quickly). $14.95 uninsured shipping to countries I ship to, with proof of mailing (I do not ship to Italy).I have been in this business for 50years and have thousands of positive responses dating back to 1998, offer with confidence. Shipping

Shipping costs are generally in the lot description. I use a secure \"Safety Mailer\" to ship a small number of coins, and a larger padded envelope or priority flat rate boxes for quantity lots. I don\'t gouge on shipping but I charge a wee bit over the actual postage to cover these costs and cover the 13.5% commission that and PayPal charge me for shipping. I sometimes refund some shipping in cash if I can (if I like your profile & response).. I sometimes ship to countries not listed, please email me to confirm.

Terms of Sale

We would all like to be paid a nanosecond after the sale closes, however if you need a little time let me know. If you would like to wait after winning a lot & combine it with an upcoming lot (saves shipping) let me know. If you want to pick up lots locally (and save shipping) let me know. I accept alternative payment venues to Paypal & sometimes share the savings, email if you need to. I am easy to do business with - I make any mistakes or errors good. Unfortunately I block buyers that I feel uncomfortable doing business with (unfair response, unreasonable returns, fraudulant undelivered lot claims, ect.). I share blocked buyer lists with other dealers.

About Us

I turn 74 years young this year (2016) and have been a coin & precious metals dealer in the Washington, D.C. area since 1967 (I joined the ANA that year, # 59598). Until recently, I had an office at Trojan Antiques in Old Town Alexandria, Va. - the owner died suddenly and the store is now closed. My friends at The Antique Guild - a really interesting shop @ 113 North Fairfax St. are letting me meet clients there on Saturdays on an appointment basis.Trade & bank references are available on request.
