10 RARE Antique Haviland Limoges Square Plates GDM CFH Raisd GOLD Dragonfly c1890.These plates came from a prominent Connecticut estate. They had been purchased new in the early 1890s and had been in the family since. I was told by the family that they were a prototype so there may not be another set like it! It has the marks of Charles Field Haviland as well as the mark of Gerard, Dufraisseix and Morel which dates it to Pre-1898. They are just EXQUISITE!! They have 22K raised gold flowers and leaves with tiny red, white and blue enamel dots on some of the flowers; and raised gold dragonflies. And the border is beautifully executed in two tone gold. There is just about NO wear to the gold and no scratches visible to the beautiful porcelain. SUPERB. There are no chips, cracks or hairlines. Please excuse glare spots and shadows in the pics, the plates are SUPERB! Size of each is 8 1/2\" x 8 1/2\". I will be listing some matching plates so check my other sales.
