For sale is a beautiful designer piece of 100% silk fabric, a soft and drapey light to mid-weight novelty textured checkerboard or tic-tac-toe kind of weave, in a gorgeous purple color in between a plum and a royal purple color (but definitely NOT blue - very difficult to get the color photographed accurately as light reflects off the fabric), suitable for clothing, home decor, or craft purposes. This piece measures 2-3/8 yards in length x 41 inches wide. There is about a 1\" x 2\" notch cut out of the selvedge at the 1-7/8 yard point, but otherwise the piece is in perfect condition. Photos taken with and without flash (fabric is MUCH prettier than in the photos!) Purchased from a fabric store that purchases fabric from New York jobbers who buy up past-season and leftover fabrics that were used in ready-to-wear. This fabric typically sells at retail price for $30/yard or upwards, if you could even find anything remotely similar. Gorgeous piece!
