Beautiful vintage clay hotstamped Tophat and Cane solid cash set by Christy & Jones, the predecessor to Paulson chips.
These are old school solids with gold hotstamps in 4 denominations $1, $5, $25 and $100 and are the classic clay casino chips everyone loves.
Weight ranges from just under 9 grams to just under 10 grams, varies by color with white being the heaviest and black being the lightest.
They are in excellent condition, don\'t seem to have been used much and aren\'t nicotine stained like many of these vintage sets are.
All are sharp and stack beautifully, the crosshatching on the faces is intact and sharp and the edges are nice and square but are just broken in enough so they shuffle beautifully! The hotstamps are all perfect as well, I haven\'t seen any that differ from what you see in the pictures.
The colors are in 100 count stacks in the pictures so there are 300 White $1, 200 Red $5, 300 Blue $25 and 200 Black $100.
This would make a good tournament as well as cash set. You could easily use this as a low stakes set by designating the $25 a 25cent chip or even the $5 a nickel, $25 a quarter and $100 a dollar. Lots of versatility here!
Shipping will be via USPS and chips will be in standard chip racks (pretty sure they will all be Paulson racks but can\'t guarantee that) and the case shown is not included in the sale. It is available separately if you want it for an additional $30 to cover packing and shipping costs and it would need to ship via UPS ground due to the size and weight (the chips will be shipped inside it).
