From a local estate, this sale offers eleven antique cabinet card photos of men, children, couples, and families. The photos are done in sepia tones and measure approximately 6 1/2\" x 4 1/4\". All are in good condition and would be a wonderful additions to your collection. Here is what is included in this sale:

Pictures 2/3: On the left is a man posing in his winter garb with a topcoat, golves, scarf, and fur hat. It is marked on the back with \"E.W.Matthews, Artist, Coshocton, Ohio.\" On the right is a man with a moustache. It is marked at the bottom with \"Wissler - JSW - Canton, O.\" and on the back with \"J.S.Wissler, Photographic Art Studio, 208-210 South Market St., Canton, Ohio - Duplicates or Enlargements can be furnished from this negative - Fine Crayons a Specialty.\" At the very bottom on the back a name is written in pencil \"Joe Webster.\"
Pictures 4/5: On the left is a couple with the man seated and the woman standing. It is marked at the bottom with \"Cal Keck - CK - 416, W. Federal St., Youngstown, O.\" The back is marked \"Instantaneous Process Used Exclusively - Artistic Photographer Cal Keck - 416 W. Federal St., Youngstown, O. - Duplicates can be had at any time.\" On the right are three little boys with straw boater hats. The bottom is marked \"Imperial Studio, Cor. Main and Erie Sts., Massillon, O. The photo has white spots on it and I can\'t tell if these are supposed to be there or not - since they are all over the picture, maybe it was a special effect to look like snow?
Picture 6: On the left is a pretty young blonde girl - it is marked at the bottom with \"B.R.Hollis - Connersville, Ind.\" On the right is a family portrait with man, woman, and three children. It is marked at the bottom with \"W. D. Miller, Delta, Ohio.\"
Pictures 7/8: On the left is a you8ng man in a suit with short pants and he is wearing a hat. It is marked at the bottom with \"Huntey, Martinsburg, W.Va.\" and on the back with \"P.C.Huntery Photographer, 26, Queen St., Martinsburg, W.Va.\" On the right is a picture of a little girl and boy (brother and sister). The girl has a sailor type dress and the boy has a big lace collar. The quality of the picture is poor. It is marked at the bottom with what I first thought was \"Cane, PA\" but it actually appears to be \"CANEPA.\" So I\'m not sure where this photo was done.
Picture 9: On the left is a darling little girl standing on a chair. It is marked \"H. L. Hastings, Photographer, Brookville, Penna.\" On the right is a portrait of a couple. It is faded and has been slightly cut down on the sides. It is not marked with a studio name but has names handwritten on the back \"Fred & Effie Martin.\"
Picture 10: A dapper fellow with bowler hat and cane. It is marked faintly on the back with \"Isa Black Photographer, Franklin, Pa.\"

Cabinet card photos generally measure 4 1/4\" x 6 1/2\". They consist of a thin photo mounted on card stock (like cardboard). They were introduced in the 1860\'s and their peak of popularity came in the 1870\'s to the 1890\'s. They were widely used for photographic portraits. Some will have advertising for the photo studio. The earlier photos are sepia toned, later they became black and white.
