Here we have a spectacular ring. I just love the exuberance of all the gorgeous gems set so beautifully in this retro 18k gold ring - it is truly divine.

APPRAISAL:
The ring has been very conservatively appraised by Gemologic of New York at $4,700.00. Gemologic appraises items at 1.5 times the wholesale cost of the gems. This means that the price that jewelers in the diamond district of New York have to PAY for the elements of this ring would be $3,133.00. This is the absolute lowest price that the ring could be purchased for by the dealers. It is gorgeous!! The appraisal will be included with the purchase!The central gem is the 12.15 CT Jade cabochon. It is a wonderful green color - I love it. The jade is 16 mm by 12 mm.

There is also a magnificent 2.1 CT sapphire cabochon of light blue color - it is stunning! It is 8 mm by 6 mm.

Across the top of the ring are the 5 oval faceted gems. These are:

Smoky topaz - .35 Ct.

Yellow Sapphire - .40 CT.

2 Rubies - .65 CT.

Blue Sapphire - .30 CT.

The combination of these jewels is just spectacular!

The ring is a classic and has great impact - with all the elements that you look for in antique jewelry - quality, design, originality, sparkle, drama, just a perfect estate jewel!! The elements of the ring have been very conservatively appraised by Gemologic of NY at $4,700.00. Look at the photos from the recent issue of Veranda with cocktail rings and the prices!

The ring is in superb condition. There is no damage to the gems. The gold is in excellent condition. The top of the ring is 30 mm by 25 mm. Sizing the ring is a bit difficult since the top of the ring is curved to fit the finger, thus it is difficult to get the sizing rod into it. The best I can tell the ring is currently a size 5 1/2 -6 US (K 1/2 UK, 10.5 French/Japanese). It can be resized if desired. It tests for 18K. The ring weighs 16.1 grams.

This is a stunning jewel with great drama and style. It is absolutely mesmerizing and is worthy of the finest collection. The ring is so immensely wearable either during the day or at the most glamorous affair. I was just at the Oscar Academy Awards and similar jewels were all the rage.
