This lot of twelve original antique covers to THE INLAND PRINTER magazine date from 1897 to 1907. These are the original covers they are NOT reproductions. Each beautiful cover is printed on quality paper and measures approx. 9 x 11 1/2 inches. THE INLAND PRINTER was the first American magazine to use a different painted cover illustration on every issue. The magazine\'s early association with artist, designer and typographer Will H. Bradley helped start the Art Nouveau period in America. The magazine was an extremely important influence in popularizing Art Nouveau, and a general improvement in the artistic quality and design of printed materials in the United States, beginning in the 1890\'s.
These covers were designed by some of the best illustrationartists in the business. Two of these covers are by the famous illustrator Joseph Christian Leyendecker and two are by Ralph Fletcher Seymour other artists include Frank Holme, Lorraine Windsor, L.Braunhold,
