Simply adorable,12\" size, antique composition, \"Scootles\", jointed chubby doll, by Cameo Doll Co., New York and designed by famed illustrator and designer, Rose O\'Neill, circa 1925 as Kewpie\'s friend.With his big blue, side-glancing eyes, chubby cheeks and smiling expression including lots of dimples he is sure to capture someone\'s ♥ heart! He has the deepest molded and painted curly brown hair, jointed arms with starfish shaped hands, swivel neck and jointed legs with the cutest knees and flat feet to stand. He has beautiful, blue painted eyes with high-lites, glancing to the right, long painted eyelashes and closed (watermelon, smiling) mouth, good coloring, big molded dimples and molded, curly blond hair. His chubby body has joints at the shoulders and hips with a swivel at the neck and chubby, outstretched fingers. He wears only his original, white, leatherette shoes with ties. He is in generally good sound condition but has some paint crazing around his mouth and cute, little pug nose as well as on one hand (no chips or cracks to the composition) which could be sealed (normal for his age, see photos). He has had no repainting or repairs and will be a welcome addition to any doll collection. (#4807) Other Kewpie friends are not included and are each listed separately.
