There was so much glare on the glass that photos were a challenge. This is an Asian painting or print on what appears to be silk fabric. There is a square signature on the lower left corner but it is difficult to see. I tried to photograph it. Calming seascape.
The vintage frame is amazing and heavy and most of the cost is for the shipping. The viewable opening is 11.5 inches by 15.5\" and I believe the silk painting is slightly larger than that, possibly 12x16. The outside dimensions of the frame are 17x21 inches. Excellent condition. There is some of wear to the brown velvet fabric inlay but overall, it is a great old frame.
This is about the amazing frame, not the glass or the print. I know from many years experience that no matter how much foam board and bubble wrap I use, some glass fronts will not survive the USPS. Therefore, I cannot and will not guarantee that the glass makes it to the buyer in one piece. I will package very well but if a big heavy box is tossed on top of this, a crack could result. So please think of this as a no-glass purchase and if the glass arrives safely, that\'s a bonus.
This is perfect for MCM (Mid-Century Modern) decor or can be modernized by antiquing it or painting it an off white or grey color.
Wire hanger on the back. Most of the price is for shipping cost as the size and weight will incur a USPS penalty cost.
