Here is a darling little bisque character shoulder head doll– the shoulder is marked with sunburst mark of Gebruder Heubach, with mold#7872, Germany. The intaglio eyesare deep blue, the cheeks are richly blushed and the closed mouth is coral withjust the hint of dimples in the cheeks.The blonde hair is wonderfully molded and sculpted in the style of littleboy. The head is 3-1/3” tall,7-3/4” in circumference and the overall size of the doll is 13”. The body is firmly stuffed leather withunglazed bisque forearms and hands.The tips of the pointer and middle fingers are missing on the righthand; left hand is ok. The lowerlegs are painted linen with repair above the heel of the left foot at theankle. There is no leaking ofsawdust. There is a smallextension of the upper left arm that makes the entire arm hangs at a peculiarangle but I will leave that for new owner to correct. The child is dressed in lovely vintage dress with eyeletbodice and skirt with two rows of pin tuck. There are a few dark marks on thefront skirt of the gown that I have not tried to clean – may be age spots orthe result of poor storage. Thesleeves are trimmed with lace and the petticoat and pantalettes also have lacetrim. The little eyelet bonnet hasruffle and ribbon trim. The babyis seated in a wooden high chair that is 16” tall and 6-1/2” wide at the lowerlegs.
