I got this 135 hp Johnson motor in on a trade and I don\'t know much about it. I started it for the first time today. It started hard at first (from what i understand that\'s normal for these old Johnson motors) Initially it took a lot of choke but once it started and warmed up it started fairly easy after that.Most likelyneeds the carburetors cleaned from sitting.I believethe motor isfrom the 70s? It has great compression in all cylinders, between 140 and 150. The motor also has tilt/trim but the hydraulic pump & motor have been removed. (as seen in picture) That\'s all I\'ve done with it No further test have been done to this motor. The control goes with the motor (pictured) but the key has been lost. It is an older motor and may need other repairs. It\'s being sold as is and must be picked up. Now that I\'ve hadthis motorfor a few days,I have started the motor 5 or 6 times. It starts and seems to,idleand shiftin forward and reversethe way it should. Best I can tell it could probably use a new impeller.
