WELCOME to my store!this is one of three antique (1 bisque and 2 composition head) baby dolls in my store. All THREE are Grace Putnam Bye Lo Babies. This is the ONE BYE-LO that has a bisque head. This head DOES have a hair line that circles the head on one side. PLEASE see photos. However it does not detract from the overall appearance of the doll but I am pricing this baby accordingly. From front she or he? IS gorgeous and everything else in top condition.
She/He is an ANTIQUE 14\" GRACE S. PUTNAM BISQUE HEAD BYE-LO BABY DOLL W/CELLULOID HANDS. Overall very nice other than a hairline on head that seems to have been professionally repaired.
The doll IS MARKED \"COPR BY / GRACE S. PUTNAM / MADE IN GERMANY\"AND RED STAMPED ON THE BODY - BYE-LO BABYwith A SOLID DOME BISQUEFLANGE NECKHEAD ON A \"FROG TYPE\" STUFFED CLOTH BODY.HAS MOLDED ANDPAINTED HAIR, BLUE GLASS EYES WITH PAINTED UPPER AND LOWER LASHES, A CLOSED MOUTH AND BLUSHING CHEEKS. THERE IS A HAIRLINE CRACK ON THE HEAD WHICH HAS BEEN PROFESSIONALLY REPAIRED AND SEALED ? and seems quite intact.
NO OTHER CHIPS IN THE BISQUE. The frog type cloth body is in very good shape. You can clearly see the stamped makes information in photos. All original body and hands are a huge factor with this doll! See all photos for details. This baby is wearing vintage flannel diapers and shirt as well as socks. Wonderful face despite the flaw in the bisque!
CELLULOID HANDS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE AS WELL with NO FINGERS MISSING, AND ALL ARE SOLID WITH NO CHIPS OR BREAKS. I love the detail, down to those tiny fingernails.
I have one photo with this doll wearing a WIG I have for sale in my store, a monique toddler wig. Perfect fit and quite cute! Wig is available separately. There is also a photo of THIS Bye Lo baby and another of all Composition, in my store, lying together on a doll \'recamier\' or fainting sofa. Very cute and you can see they both display well.
