From a Tucson estate some years ago is this sculptural bonbonesque pair of Italian 14K yellow gold puffy dome earrings, vintage and in a sense wearable artworks. Each earring consists of a skillfully petaled or lobed high dome of solid gold, fitted to the back with a \"14Kt / ITALY\" marked omega post clip as appropriate for upper tier ear adornment. I do not know which Italian gold atelier made these, but this is obviously no promotional proposition. Simply put, the duo will draw eyes when worn about at any function during the holiday season (and after). Weight is very good for the form at about 5.2 total grams on my portable digital scale. Condition is quite fine with an appropriate aura of time to the gold surfaces and just typical and expected signs they served the occasional purpose. These were well kept by their original owner, and I have avoided any subsequent polishing or \"improving\". The original gold omega clips are good to go; one post shows what might be an old jeweler repair - this is strong and does not impact function, so mentioned simply for accuracy. A look at the pics should give a good idea of condition and appearance... a very attractive pair of ornaments. Size is about 11/16 in. (about 17.5mm) across - so yes, they will be noticed. If you have an eye for excellence in Italian gold and prefer a vintage road less travelled, or simply wish an immediate improvement to the ambiance of each day, these will have great meaning for you.
