A superb 15 1/2\" Sioux Indian Multi- Star Doll With A9\" Span Across the yoke. This doll is made of hand-stitched braintanned leather and is heavily lazy-stitchedseed-beaded on the dress, leggings, face, necklace, ear rings and mocassins. It has buffalo hair.
This doll likely dates to the mid-1920s to mid-1930s based on the facetted Czech seed beads used. Thus, this doll was likely made in the mid-reservation period.
The doll was acquired from the collection of Cindy Sheetz, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
