15\" composition doll Baby Dainty by Effanbee , made in the years between 1912 and 1925. The oval mark is on the back shoulder plate. It says Effanbee Doll Walk . Talk and Sleep This doll is being sold in the found condition as it is in such good condition and mostly original I think it will give great pleasure to its future owner to do the \"brushing up\" The clothes are mommy made hand sewn probably later than the doll but still early, pink cotton dress and panties to match , salmon pink satin petticoat, and original shoes and socks which I have not removed as they look as though they have never been off they are sole less and worn. The wig is thick and full original over molded hair, needs a little comb. Face is very good one tiny line over her right eye ( see the photograph with eyes closed} The open eye photo. has a wider line also that is bent up lashes, red dot on inner eyes these are sleep eyes with lashes and are dark brown. Tiny rub on end of nose paint only, open mouth with tongue and two teeth. Shoulder head on very firmly stuffed cotton body which looks as good as it was originally no breaks or stuffing leaks, the voice box is there but does not work. The arms and legs are disk jointed, one leg has been reattached in a second hole and is not even with the other and is loosely positioned. The back of the thighs have some paint loss , it is only paint and not into the composition, see photographs. The overall condition of the hands and arms very good just a little paint scuff on little finger left hand and a couple of finger tips both hands. Buyer pays shipping
