In this lot we present something of a rarity - an old pendulum desk clock from the early 19-th Century.
Judging by the frame style and edged decoration patterns, the clock is probably made in France. Solid, skeleton Brass frame is finely decorated with stylized floral patterns. White Porcelaine double-dial
with black Arabic and Roman numerals. Detailed, Crucifix scenery is edged above the dial. The mechanism is rewind via a key just below the dial, then the pendulum is swung behind. The bell is rewind via
a cord-wheel on the lower-right corner on the back. The bell rings every 15 minutes, four times per hour. The mechanism is in working order, though it is far from measuring time perfectly - it is slow.
There are wavy elements around the bell, chips on the dial. This pendulum desk clock is in good antique condition.Clock height and depth: 185 mm and 70 mm with the pendulum
