Beautiful nicely made \'Old School\" American Made Saddle - This is probably from the 1970\'s - It is a \"SKOT Line - model 1301\" according to tag.

Saddle has a solid tree and rigging. Maker stamp appears on latigo keeper and model # 1301 is stamped below. Saddle has a quality grade of leather, materials and workmanship that you can expect from that \"Made With Pride\" era of saddlery. Saddle has been used and has signs of use as illustrated. Has a nice front flare and a shorter skirt than many - and would also be ideal for a \'bulldoggy\" quarter horse with lots of rear action - and even an arab or breed with a lot of front shoulder movement that needs to be free of any pinching or restrictions. Seat measures 15\" to cantle stitching - some may consider this to be 14 1/2\" of \'using space\'. In skirt rigging for a balanced ride, fit and closer contact with the horse.

Would be a real nice saddle to put a silver package on - and looks great as it stands with original conchos and beautiful floral tooling. Timeless design. I like this cantle height as well - enough to add security and not too much to get you trapped. Ozark has been around for decades - and this saddle should not be confused with the newer \'saddle king\' brand. I believe there may be a newer remake of this model selling online - this one would be THE original - This one is handmade in America and the quality comes through in both appearance and functionality.

What I can see to declare is common wear to be associated with any used leather item - such as patina in leather and some surface cracks or color variation. Leather is supple - free of any weird smells - and still has some pretty deep tooling for its age. No weak spots or excessive wear - and fleece is in very nice shape as shown. Might be a smart option for a well made respectable saddle at a very reasonable price point. Many will agree that for the money, this would outperform and outlast a newer lesser made one...

Saddle is solid and ready to use. Saddle will ship with shown latigo and off billet strap and the used neoprene cinch in photos - and be ready to ride when you get it.
