This is the 2001 foot tall Chicago Spire. Since 2007, Construction has been under way until the \'Great Recession\' put the US in a stand still for many great projects. This building by all records would have been 2nd tallest after Burj Kaliffa and now would have been 3rd after Shanghai Tower. This was the USA\'s way of rejoining the skyscraper race. The building also has stunning architecture with its parabolic shape. Still a hole with footings this project was purchased by Midwest related in Novermber 2014 and they promised to put a formidable structure in the same place. I made this model in 1\" =150\' so you could compare it to other souvenir buildings. This building is made of K9 Crystal and metal and placed on a heavy round 2\" tall base. The tower is 14 inches and the base 2 inches bringing its total height to 16 inches as the picture shows. This Tower is marked 10 and signed on the bottom for authenticity and value purposes. This is a heavy piece at about 4 lbs. Chicago Spire is a septagon or polygon with 7 sides that ends by twisting to one point at the top. I only have 3 of these left and than there are no more.
