I am pleased to offer youthis Black Americana cloth rag doll.I believe handmade,there is a label attached to the upper back leg of this doll (photo #5), it reads \"Project 4560-3, Unit 15, Port Tampa City\".Reference tells mesome dolls called the\"WPA\" Dolls were project dolls in the 1930s period, possibly this may be that \"type\" of doll? I do not know the past history since she is from an estate, or her age but I believe from the 1930s or 1940s period. Doll measures 16\" tall being all stuffed hard cloth with \"stitched\" facial features, wool type gray hair, mitten type hands with stitching between the fingers and individual thumbs, stitching up the center of arms and legs. I see one old button earring in the left ear, the right earring is missing. A few areas of the hair showwear, missing plugs, overall light wear on this doll. She has been made with sewn molding to enhance her chest.Doll is stitched jointed at the arms and legs, wears old leather shoes, blue print dress, apron, slip and pantaloons. Clothing is very old and worn, her dress has a rip on the back and may need a few stitches. There are whitebuttons up the back.Ihave taken plenty of photos.
