Retail: $25,789An iconic French style writing desk by Karges. Ever so popular, that it is still part of their distinguished offering.
Features hand carved hardwood solids and cherry veneers.
Heavily decorated with brass mounts. Black leather top. Lovely embossed chinoiserie adorn the apron and drawer fronts.Three dovetailed drawers, the center drawer includes a key.Vintage condition from a smoke-free home. Wear (dings, rubs, scuffs) to leather top from normal use.Finish to wood surrounding the leather is crackled, but not pealing or flaking.Nicks/scratches to legs from normal use.
Karges nameplate was affixed inside the center drawer but is now missing.
