This bold copperplate impression shows the Euphrate and Tigre river drainages which includes present day Iraq and Syria and parts of Iran and Turkey. Place names include \"Perse\", \"Georgie\", \"Armenie ou Turcomanie\", \"Yerack\", \"Balsora\", \"Mont Ararat\", \"T. Babel\", and \"Sourie\". The title is displayed in an elaborate cartouche with a regal figure holding a torch. French text on verso. Print is in very good condition with faint age toning. Image measures 5 3/4\"x 4\".
