16th/17th Century Burmese Crowned Jambupati Buddha:

This is a Fantastic Rare Burmese Crowned gold gilded Jambupati Buddha. The Statue Style dates back to the 16th/17th century. The Jambupati Buddha has a beautiful elaborate scrolling winged headdress and is the primary style difference in this type of Buddha figure.The Crowned Buddha is sitting in the Calling Earth to Witness the Truth position. The statue is in its original unrestored condition that is rare and hard to find, as many Buddhas of this age are usually restored. The winged Headdress has small parts missing on one side as seen on the photos, and the tip of the crown has broken, there is a very fine hairline crack around part of the middle section of the Base but other than these age related minor damages the 400 year old Jambupati is in a great condition, and a must for any serious collector. The Gold gilding is in very good condition and to the front of the base there is a red lacquer that I have tried to capture on the photos.

The statue stands at 27cm in height and is 16 cm wide.
