17\" Lovely Black Jumeau. Back of bisque head red stamped DEPOSE TETE JUMEAU Bte S.G.D.G, 7. This head has a repaired crack from crown on left side of forehead through left eyebrow, under left ear and up to crown. One Piece was broken out and professionally repaired. It can be seen with a light in the head, however, I was unable to get a photo of it. The beautiful brown stationary paperweight eyes are in the original plaster set, feathered eyebrows, painted upper and lower lashes, darker shading over upper lids, closed mouth and pierced ears. I could not capture on the camera the gorgeous milk chocolate bisque.
The wood and composition body is also stamped Jumeau on back of torso.
I believe this doll\'s clothing is mostly original including wig and shredding red silk hair ribbon. I also believe the dress is original with red silk trim being added. The dress is fully lined. The shoes, of course, are also marked Jumeau & 7. They are in excellent condition except a missing button on left shoe. The hat and cape are welcome additions but were added at a later date.
