DESCRIPTION:
For your consideration here is a lovely oldantique bisque head Germandoll.Incised on the back of herbisque head is \"3200 DEP\". I can see this under her leather but did not lift up since leather is glued secure.Reference attributes to German maker Armand Marseille, 1880s to 1930. DEP is a registered claim or trade mark used by both the French and Germans. I do not know her past history but will try to describe this doll with any flaws the best I can.Measures 17\" tall being a bisque \"slightly turned\" shoulder head,bisquehands from elbow down with all fingers intact, very \"worn\" & \"fragile\"kid leather gusseted body. Doll has a \"sweet\" dolly facewith stay open brown glasseyes, painted lashes around the eyes with thick brows, she has open mouth with upper teeth and wonderful blush on the face. Paint rub on the right cheek. Looking at her bisque head I flashed inside to see two light hairline cracks. One pencil like line down the left cheek my camera is not picking up, another at the left shoulder area you can see in my photo. Head is all together intact, these pencil type line cracks look very old. Her brunette wig slips over a pate on her head. Doll wears antique white empire waist dress with pink ribbon tie, embroidery accents it snaps down the back, there is antique slip, pantaloons, newer replacement stockings and shoes.
