This impressivearmoire is fromthe Normandy region of France. Itdates to the Louis XVI period (1774-1791). This is alovely, warmpiece with a beautiful original finish anddetailed hand carved decoration in solid oak. Thisbookcase is invery goodantique condition: very sturdy and solid. There are many minor imperfections consistent with its age. Most notable are some large cracks in the right side panel, slightly bowed shelves, andabit of dry rot onthe backof the wardrobe in a few isolated areas (see photos).Dimensions: 94\" high, 72\" wide (at the top)and 29\" deep (also at the top).
