In 1730 several protestant Free Imperial Cities such as Nuremberg issued commemorative medals for the bicentennial of the 1530 Augsburg Confession. This is one of them. The reverse shows the famous scene where Protestant princes and representatives of Free Imperial cities read the statement of faithand present the Protestant manifesto to Emperor Charles Vat the Diet of Augsburg.
