We get all this amber from the traditional coalmining from Jambi, Sumatra, Indonesia. They come with various colour; red,blue, yellow and white. The blue it self have wide range of colour, there are navyblue, red blue, honey blue ( a bit orange), purple blue and yellow blue.Usually we can find combination of colour in one rough piece

Sumatra amber is from Miocene age (15-20million years ago). The resin tree is different with Baltic and Dominica amber,which made of resin from Shorea sp.tree . very exciting find!

Sometimes we can get clear beads, but mostlywe get beads with inclusion, but the inclusion of sumatra amber is the one whichmaking it more beautiful, make every piece is unique, also makes you wonder“what is the substrate? And why it can be trapped in this resin 15-20 millionago”?
