1777 Colonial Currency Four Pence Note Encased In Lucite

1777 Colonial Currency Four Pence
Note Encased in Lucite

These are authentic bank notes. We purchased a large collection of them back in the 1970s.They are encased in lucite. A local company in the early 1960's, whichis out of business now, was encasing old notes in lucite,to use as lids on trinket boxes at the time. The company went out of business and we purchased a large lot of these lucite lids that do have authentic old notes encased.
This note is encased in lucite, and can not be removed without destroying the note. Would look fantastic on an easel for display though.
Dated Oct. 11, 1777. No. 5h1h (hard to make out-hand written).
Four Pence. Hand writing on front & back. Lucite lid measures approx. 4.25" x 3.25".
